Apple doesn't like Flash...

There's been tweet after tweet after tweet about Apple's new little clause in their developers agreement: 3.3.1 — Applications may only use Documented APIs in the manner prescribed by Apple and must not use or call any private APIs. Read more at rockonflash.wordpress.com »

I am a flash developer geek to the bone , however I totally agree on the current Apple's decision . Besides their commercial consideration they care also about the quality . And we all know that quality stands before Apple's name . Adobe still have a lot of work to do on Flash Platform in order to answer Apple's standards . The fact is that all those developers who released demo apps with Flash CS5 to IPHONE say that the performance is really bad( and it was just about very primitive apps) .Also I suspect that beyond the Performance issues there are also code compilation quality problems that can create all kinds of breaches in Apple's products that eventually damage the quality and of course , Apple's reputation . Really , I can't see any problem for those targeting IPHONE platform . Event if they could write their app with Flash CS5 .still, the real power is in Objective C . Game developers can so far be calm , UNITY3D gives them all the could ever dream of .

With regards to Unity, it's no longer clear cut:

Yeah , I have read this article and I hope just like the Author does ,that Apple are not going to kick out Unity because of they see their potential in delivering best game content for IPHONE

Well, now you are being selective, Michael. We don't wan't Apple to decide for us, do we?!

Yes we don't but it seems that we ,as developers , in this case are not in the winning position. After all , when there are some 50000000 iPhone users in the World Apple guys know that eventually those who want to be there will accept all their terms .

As a deloper, you are always part of a winning team, but the battle might tale some time. When someone make moves as Apple just did, competitors that are more open gains attention. Take a look at http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/2010/03/iphone-os-still-dominates-mobile-web-android-on-the-way-up.ars do you spot a trend. MS is clapping their hands, as they are not the bad guys anymore :-)

In this case you are absolutely right . Indeed , i could not even imagine that someone would be worse than MS . But it seems that Apple took them over .
